THE PARISH CENTRE
The parish centre is the white building facing Queen Street next to St. Peter’s School and houses the parish’s offices and meeting rooms. Office hours are 9 am till noon and 1 pm to 4:15 pm, Monday through Friday. The phone number is 392-3767. Unless attending a meeting downstairs, you should enter the parish centre through the door across from the church; this door leads directly into the reception area.
There are four Sunday Masses: Saturday at 5 pm, and Sunday at 9 am, 11 am, and 5 pm.
The Saturday vigil usually draws a primarily adult congregation. Worshippers raise their voices under the guidance of some very talented leaders of song, sometimes supported by other parish musicians.
Sunday’s 9 am Mass is particularly well attended by those with young families because the Children’s Liturgy of the Word is available to children aged 3 to 7. Junior liturgy takes place in the parish centre, beginning with Mass at 9:00 am in the Church. The children receives a blessing and proceeds to the parish centre for their lesson on the Sunday Readings. The Children rejoins their families around 9:20 am. Appropriately, the junior choir provides the music for the 9 am Mass.
